威斯康辛大学曼迪逊分校是1848年成立的，简称为WISC-Madison， 大型公立大学(全校有4万一千多名学生喔!)，有相当多的学院与课程，在曼迪逊共有一千亩的校地，该校以理科，商科高等教育闻名全美，曼迪逊是威斯康星州 的艺术重镇之一，校内有著名的艾尔夫彦艺术博物馆Elvehijem Museum of Art，还有麦迪逊当代艺术博物馆Madison Museum of Contemporary Art ( http://www.mmoca.org/)
唉!大型公立学校的网页系统都超乱滴!不过WISC有一个整理过的网页是给新进研究生的The Graduate School，要申请的时候蛮管用的，可以查有什么样的主修?，课程deadline等等数据，在WISC里提供与艺术科系相关的硕士学位相当相当多种

-Design Studies (see Human Ecology ) 此设计研究着重在环境, 质感和设计三大方面, 简称为SoHE, 提供了MS, MFA, PhD的学位, 这也是相当特别, 很少看到这个主修有PhD的!

-Art 纯艺术, 这个系上提供很多主修喔! 主要分成Art Education, Graphic, 2D, 3D四大类别

WISC的艺术学院基本上是隶属在教育学院下面，其中分为三大部，Art, Music及Theatre/Drama，不过像是艺术管理却开在商学院，景观建筑又有独立的学院，所以WISC长年以来一直企图解决系统繁乱的问题，在 1998年成立了Art Institute，结合了College of Letters & Science, School of Education还有School of Human Ecology中的艺术课程，让学生起码不会太雾煞煞
该校的版画颇为出名，1997年夺得USNEWS Ranking第一名，不过网络上数据不多，这边是一个主修版画的学生网站Amanda Knowles，此外还有一位专攻Digital Printmaking的年轻教授Michael Connors
在装置艺术领域有另一位女教授的网站Laurie Beth Clark，她是走Video类的装置艺术，另外一位专攻Glass的教授是Steven Feren，专攻Sculpture的教授Aristotle Georgiades
此外，该系的教授Greg Perkins有一个很不错的”ART108 引介当代艺术“网站喔!
